Non toxic, Natural Woodpecker Deterrent Paint and Stain Additive

All natural, non toxic Woodpecker Paint and Stain Additive  (mix into 1 gal of paint)

Woodpecker Repellent Paint Additive is designed to provide added protection for an area that has had repeated woodpecker damage or to help provent future woodpecker damage. 

BirdsGottaGo Woodpecker Additive for paint & stain products provides protection at treated areas for anticipated woodpecker damage. It is a non-toxic bird repellent formulated using 100% all-natural ingredients derived from minimum risk plant oils and extracts. This product is a non-oxidizing additive that contains natural odor / taste ingredients.

Protection is provided whenever the repaired area is pecked as this action releases the properties encapsulated within the paint or stain to provide ”time release” repellency. Woodpecker paint additive is designed for use in exterior oil / stain or water-based coatings. It will inhibit woodpeckers and other pecking birds from damaging residential and commercial buildings.

Directions for use:

 Add 3 ounces of additive for each gallon of exterior paint or stain. Allow sufficient room in the paint container for mixing. Mix thoroughly and stir occasionally to ensure uniform dispersion. Apply coatings according to directions on the paint/stain bucket label. Brush, spray, or roller applications are all suitable. The effective life of this additive varies depending upon a variety of conditions including, type of coating used, surface prep procedures, and climatic conditions. Two or more coats may be necessary

Personal Protection:  Must use eye protection and gloves.

No single product stands alone; a combination of woodpecker exclusionary deterrents must be used with repeated reinforcement as necessary.

 Audio & visual re-enforcement is strongly recommended, as woodpeckers are territorial and persistent. Hanging the inexpensive woodpecker decoy, Holographic Owl, Holographic tape, Mylar Bird Scare Flash Tape, Woodpecker Distress cd at known attack areas will alert the birds to 'occupied territory'.

 IMPORTANT: Apply two sample coats of formulated paint/stain/additive (allow to dry completely in between coats) at small unnoticeable areas to determine satisfaction with finished formulation before undertaking project.
